Prepare: with Repentance

Repentance is the preparation for the King's coming. It is not merely a one-time emotional event, a moralistic attempt to stop sinning, or penance to fix our lives. True repentance is fundamentally faith in Jesus Christ, where He is the main character. It is a daily reality rooted in Baptism, where we are joined to Christ, and our sins are forgiven. Because we already live in His kingdom, repentance is the act of aligning our lives to the gracious reign of Jesus, trusting that He is in control of our destiny and has done everything necessary for us.
