Worship at Beautiful Savior

At Beautiful Savior, worship centers on Christ crucified for sinners, delivered through Word and Sacrament in the historic liturgy. Join us Sundays at 9:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM

What to Expect
We call our worship the "Divine Service" because that's really what it is: God serving you, His people, with His gifts of Word and Sacrament, before it's ever us serving Him. Our service is liturgical, meaning it follows a historic pattern of confession, Scripture, preaching, and Communion that Christians have used for centuries, so you can expect a consistent, Christ-centered structure from week to week rather than something that changes based on mood or personality. Our worship is guitar-led, Communion is celebrated weekly, and all are welcome to stand, sing, and pray alongside us.

Come as you are, most people dress business casual, but you won't find a dress code here. Kids are always welcome, wiggles, noises, and all, and you can expect the service to run about 75 minutes.

Communion
Communion is celebrated weekly. As Lutherans, we believe Scripture teaches that those receiving Communion should be instructed beforehand and that Communion is a public profession of shared belief, not merely an individual act. For this reason, it’s normal for some not to commune, though we recognize them as fellow Christians equally loved and forgiven by God. The following statement helps all to prepare for Communion.

Having been baptized and instructed in the Christian faith, I believe according to Christ’s own teaching and institution that I am a sinner in need of God's grace and in Communion I receive both His true Body and Blood in, with, and under the bread and wine, giving me forgiveness, life, and salvation from His cross and resurrection. Therefore, I repent of all sin, forgive all who sin against me, and seek reconciliation with others so far as it depends on me. I believe all Scripture is the inspired Word of God from which the doctrine of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is drawn truly and faithfully, and by communing here today I confess this congregation’s teachings are also my own (1 Corinthians 10:17).

If you do not identify with all the statements above, please come forward with a hand on your heart to indicate that you would like to receive a verbal blessing instead of Communion. Speak with Pastor Jonathan if you are interested in communing but are not baptized, instructed in Communion, or have not communed at an LCMS church before.
