The God of The Living

God is the God of the living, and His eternal nature guarantees the resurrection of all who are His people. God reveals Himself not by abstract ideas, but by His actions: "I will be who I will be", meaning we know Him by what He does for us. Through Baptism, God calls us by name and puts His eternal name upon us (in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, attaching His presence and eternity to our lives. Therefore, we are eternal and must live not for the finite concerns of this world, but in anticipation of the eternal life to come, which gives everything we do lasting spiritual value.
